6 Fast Ways to Attract More Traffic

TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC, AND MORE TRAFFIC!

I’m not talking about the gridlocked cars and honking horns that give you a headache make you late for work in the morning.

Nope, this is the good kind of traffic that brings customers to your website… and puts dollars in your wallet.

You can always do with more of this kind of traffic — whether you’re a newbie on the Internet or an old hand — but it’s easy to become bogged down with the endless strategies and optimizations everyone keeps harping on about.

So I was thinking how I might be able to simplify things a little bit and show you how you can turn a few spare hours of time into more cash in your hand… in just six speedy steps:

1.Give away free, expert content: Write an article about your topic (it only needs to be a page or so) and submit it to: Article Dashboard, Ezine Articles, FreeSticky, and any other article directories you can find.

2.Register your site with web directories: Take a minute to go to DMOZ and Librarians Internet Index and make sure your site is registered with them. Consider paying to be listed with other directories, like the Yahoo! Directory and Best of the Web. And do a search for directories related to your business and get listed with them too.

3.Get links from as many relevant websites as possible: Compose an email requesting an inbound link to your site. Visit other websites with content that’s relevant to yours and take down their contact information. Customize your email to each site you’re requesting a link from and send it to the site owners. Ffollow that up with a reminder email and phone call where possible.

4.Issue a press releases about your business: Write a press release about something new or quirky your business is doing (it could be a new product created to solve a problem; a resurgence in popularity for your product because of an upcoming movie; an interesting fact you discovered about your product; etc…) and submit it to PR Leap, PR Newswire, and Press Release Network.

5.Advertise your services on free (or cheap) online classified sites: Check out Buy and Sell, Craigslist, and eBay Classified Ads.

6.Participate in blogs, groups, forums, and social networks that focus on your target: Add posts and comments to other websites covering your niche… with links back to your website if possible.
